eg. What were some of the ways people could listen to music, in say, the classical era?

Basically, what were the only ways people could hear music prior to the invention of recording technology?

If someone who lived in the classical era wanted to listen to beethovens music, where would he have to go?

You either have to go to a show where it would be played live, or learn how to play a instrument yourself and play the song.

Thank goodness for technology today right!

I’m looking to put together a portfolio of piano music to play at various locations, and I’m wondering what are the most popular/well-loved songs. Any genre is fine, though it needs to appeal to any generation. I’ve been playing for 11 years, so the level of difficulty is unimportant.

can music actually make a plant grow faster, if so what kind of music? If music doesnt do anything at all does silence make the difference?

I think they did an experiment on this way back in the 60’s. It turned out, as I remember, that classical music made plants grow while hard rock (like metallica) actually killed them.
But then maybe that was a flawed study done by rock and roll hating people.
Honestly though, I personally think plants, and animals (including people) generally are calmer, more relaxed and even think better while listening to the so called ‘classics’ than to the more jarring and jangling ‘contemporary’ music.

I got some music videos but their not bought from iTunes, i downloaded them somewhere else and now they are stored under movies on my iPod. I want to get them to the music videos list. anybody know how i do this? :]

Right click on the video and click "get info." Go to the Video tab and chang "Video Kind" to "Music Video." You can also change the title and whatever else you need to. Once you click ok it will move to the other section of the library.

I was in class and seen a kid creating sheet music for band on the computer. He was adding flute parts and baritone and clarinet parts and all the parts for a band into a sheet music like thing where he just put notes on the lines and pressed play and it played. Do you know what this program is and is it free? Is there anything like this program that is free?
