What is the best, free music composition program that I can download off the internet?

I’m a teenager that is really interested in music and really enjoy composing. I play guitar, bass and piano. I’m in a band as well. The only problem is that the songs that I write are usually written to messy for me to read and its a pain to type it. Does anyone know of any FREE music composition programs on the internet?
