Andy Simon: Music
Anti-Man (from the album "Glimpse")
(Andy Simon)
In the land of dreams, he's always awake.
In a world of sprouts, he's eating steak.
He don't know why, but he thinks that he can.
He's got a plan.
In a room of poets, he's writing prose.
At a black-tie function, he wears no cloths.
He don't know why, but he thinks that he should.
It feels so good.
He's got a cape stitched from road kill that he scraped from the road.
His super power is a temper that's about to explode.
Chorus:
He's Anti-Man, he does not fly or break down doors.
He's Anti-Man, he's just pissed of and nothing more.
Politically incorrect is what he be. His joie de vivre.
He thinks that war is good to reduce the population.
(Well, that, and mass starvation.)
He says that Women's Lib is really kinda cute.
At singles dances, he brings a date.
In a den of sex, he masturbates.
He don't know why but he thinks that he must,
To sate his lust.
He won't recycle, says there's no time.
But then considers bad taste a crime.
He don't know why, but he thinks that's okay,
I've heard him say.
He has a mask made from baby seals clubbed with a b-a-t, bat!
And when confronted, he says there's nothing wrong with that.
