well, that’s not always true, it just is lately.

ok, so let’s begin.

the clock by thom yorke is astounding, the guitar work in it is just . . . incredible.
speaking of thom yorke, anything by radiohead is great, but my favorites are karma police, street spirit (fade out), and fake plastic trees, but i don’t think those are on iTunes . . .

ok, then try the dresden dolls. girl anachronism and coin-operated boy are their most popular songs, and they’re quite fantastic.

i’ll stay away from punk, since you don’t seem like the type of person to appreciate it, so here’s just some more rock and indie type stuff.

brand new is a great band also, my favorites are me vs. maradona vs. elvis and the boy who blocked his own shot and jesus christ (not religious)

bright eyes is fantastic, my favs are lua, "haligh, haligh, a lie, haligh", lover i don’t have to love, perfect sonnet

hmm . . . the clash are really good, get london calling and guns of brixton, those are my favorite.

cold war kids are modern blues, and amazing at what they do. get hospital beds and we used to vacation

cursive is also a fantastic indie band, best songs are bloody murderer and gentleman caller

hmm . . . the smashing pumpkins are a must-have, my favorites are disarm, today, 1979, zero, XYO, galapogos, tarantula. anything by them is amazing.

the white stripes are really good too, i love fell in love with a girl and martyr for my love for you and icky thump and blue orchid. they’re really talented.

hmm . . . sunny day real estate are good, too. they’re not currently making music anymore, but they’re still awesome. seven and in circles are my favorites.
