How can I make sheet music from an audio track?

Is there any program or something which I can play or import an audio track and it will tell me the notes and/or make sheet music from it? I highly doubt it but if there is one that I can download for free that would be great!

If you can get the file in MIDI (.mid) format, then there are possibilities. Noteworthy composer, for example, will transcribe a MIDI file into musical notation.

Sorry, there is no such thing.

However, you can look up tablature for the song. I like the program "guitar pro", though there are some others that work.

Say I just listened to Panama, by Van Halen, I google "panama van halen guitar pro", and this is the result of the 4th link:

    http://www.911tabs.com/tabs/v/van_halen/guitar_pro_tabs/panama_guitar_pro_tab.htm

just click any of those to download the tabs. And click to play. After you download guitarpro/equivalent program.

Guitar pro can transcribe audio but it has to be in midi format.
